For a parent or caregiver: gaozichen@hailinklabs.com.
When contacting us, include BeatMend's version/build, iPhone or iPad model, iOS/iPadOS version, activity ID and the steps that led to the issue. Do not include a child's name, birthday, school, Apple credentials or payment details. Use an anonymized example rather than a complete practice backup.
Get started.
Join your child for the first session. Choose the free P03 Example, listen to the target, predict a change, adjust one ending, hear original then changed copy, and play again. Examples are clearly marked and are not the child's own repair. Use comfortable speaker volume and stop if sound or interaction is uncomfortable.
Parent area.
Tap Parents. Read the instruction and choose the first symbol, then the second symbol. A wrong choice creates a new two-step instruction. Purchase, restore, sync, backup and deletion tools are in this area. The gate relocks after the app leaves the foreground.
Trial and lifetime access.
Opening the app does not start the seven-day trial. A parent must actively start it through the App Store. The trial does not renew automatically. The U.S. lifetime purchase is $9.99; check the actual displayed App Store price before purchase. Use Restore purchases with the purchasing Apple account to refresh verified access. A restored or reinstalled trial uses its original start date. Importing a backup does not unlock access.
Sound and timing.
Use the built-in speaker. Bluetooth, AirPlay and unvalidated outputs use unscored exploration. Waiting for the full four-beat preparation helps distinguish ready beats from your own playing. Backgrounding, locking or an audio-route change stops an unfinished sound safely; an interrupted turn is not a completed note.
Records and storage.
Practice saves locally. If storage cannot open or a save fails, stop, free device space and relaunch. Do not delete the app or database as the first troubleshooting step. Export a complete JSON backup before intentionally deleting records. A failed or invalid import keeps the original data intact; merge restore does not replace the whole database or purchase state.
Private iCloud.
Sync is off by default and uses the signed-in Apple account's private database when enabled. If a sync attempt fails, keep practicing locally and retry from Parents after checking network and iCloud availability. Account changes require review before uploading to the new account. Sync does not replace an independent backup.
After trial expiry.
New full-practice activities need valid access. Existing records, replay, backup, merge restore, deletion, privacy and sync-management tools remain available. Purchase restoration can refresh an existing verified entitlement.
