Effective October 6, 2026. Operator: Shenzhen Hailink Technology Co., Ltd., trading as Hailink Labs. This policy describes the BeatMend app and the optional support contact below.
Local practice.
BeatMend does not request a child's name, birthday, school or an in-app account. It stores one anonymous practice profile on the device: original press and release events, note intervals, timing context, playing attempts, predictions, edited copies, listening revisions and activity records. Random record and installation identifiers keep records distinct and support recovery; they are not advertising identifiers. App preferences and verified access state are also stored locally.
No recording, advertising or tracking.
The app does not use a microphone, camera, location, advertising network, third-party analytics, tracking or a developer-operated data backend. Rhythm input is touch timing, not a recording of a child's voice. English narration is bundled in the app; speech generation tools and voice models do not run in the app or receive practice data.
Optional private iCloud.
Private sync is off by default. A parent who enables it allows practice records to be stored and merged through Apple's CloudKit private database in their Apple account. Local practice continues without a network. Account changes isolate the previous account's upload queue. Sync is not a backup. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy.
Purchases.
Apple processes the free, parent-started seven-day non-consumable trial and the non-consumable lifetime purchase. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. BeatMend keeps verified transaction identifiers, original dates, environment and revocation state securely on the device to apply access rules. It does not receive payment-card or bank details. Restore purchases uses Apple to refresh verified access; import and reinstall do not create a new trial start date.
Export and restore.
A parent may export complete practice records to Files or a selected share destination. The selected destination receives the exported file. Exports include practice timing and record relationships, not purchase credentials. Restore checks integrity and references, preserves a rollback snapshot and merges records; it does not unlock purchases or restart a trial. Keep exported files in a location appropriate for your family and remove copies from those destinations when no longer needed.
Deletion.
Delete this local copy removes practice from the device and turns off sync while retaining the cloud copy. Delete from connected devices and iCloud sends deletion-generation markers to the current private cloud database; connected offline devices apply them after reconnecting. Purchases and original trial dates remain separate. Records, export, restore and deletion tools remain available after trial expiry.
Support chosen by a parent.
A parent may email gaozichen@hailinklabs.com. The email address, message and any voluntarily supplied diagnostic details are used to respond to the request. Do not send a child's identity, private account information, purchase receipts or full practice backups. Start with the app version, device/system version, activity ID and a description of the problem. Any requested follow-up should use an anonymized example.
Changes and contact.
Changes to data recipients or app functionality require this policy and the App Store privacy information to be reviewed. For questions about BeatMend's data handling, contact the public business email above. The parent gate prevents accidental access; it is not represented as legally verifiable parental consent or a privacy certification.
Website and support correspondence
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, whose service may process connection and request information under its own privacy statement. The website has no advertising, analytics, contact form or tracking cookies. Voluntary parent support email is handled under the existing company support policy; it is separate from app practice records.
