Local library and manual recordings
LineLilt stores custom play text, scene revisions, role and goal choices, immutable voice takes, selected versions, practice actions and recovery/deletion records in private device storage. Microphone recording starts only after the parent explanation, system permission and a manual action, with visible controls. The app does not request a child’s real name, birthday, school, location, contacts or photos. Functional record IDs are not advertising or device identifiers.
Optional Apple private iCloud
App sync is off by default. After a parent explicitly enables it, custom text, recordings, saved works, choices, functional events and deletion markers may be stored in that Apple Account’s CloudKit Private Database. LineLilt uses neither public nor shared CloudKit databases, invites or a developer-operated content server. Account availability is checked for sync. Local saving does not require sync; turning it off keeps existing copies. System iCloud/device backups are separate and may still include app data.
Apple purchases and access cache
Apple StoreKit handles the zero-price non-consumable 7-day Trial, Lifetime purchase, transaction verification and restoration. The app caches verified access facts in the device Keychain, outside user backups and app sync. Hailink Labs receives no payment-card information and operates no receipt server. Apple handles commerce accounts, transactions and diagnostics under its policies and settings.
Parent-chosen exports and backups
Audio exports contain voices, and .lineliltbackup files contain private text, audio and functional metadata. Backups are readable JSON/base64 files and are not encrypted by LineLilt. A parent chooses the destination; file providers and recipients have their own practices. LineLilt cannot revoke external copies. Backups exclude purchases, credentials, parent sessions and sync consent. Imports validate integrity and limits before merging, without silently overwriting existing recordings.
Protection and deletion
Original files use iOS file protection in persistent app storage. Temporary exports/production files are excluded from system backup, while user originals remain eligible. Parents can delete saved works or custom materials; historical works may retain their own text/audio snapshots. Deletion markers coordinate enabled sync. Delete cloud copies turns sync off first and keeps local work. Turning sync off is not deletion. Other devices, exported files and system backups require separate management; the app does not promise independently verified end-to-end encryption or that voices can never leave a device.
No ads, analytics or runtime AI
No advertising, third-party analytics/crash-reporting SDK, tracking, child account, public community, speech recognition, automatic ability scoring or runtime AI is included. Prerecorded original scripts/audio are bundled; the offline narration tools and models stay on the production Mac. Functional practice records support local/private library features and are not uploaded as analytics. Parent gates protect adult actions but are not legal identity or parental-consent verification.
Parent support correspondence
If a parent emails support, we receive the email address, message and deliberately attached files to answer and resolve the issue. Do not send children’s identities, voices, backups, receipts or payment details. Our company mailbox uses Tencent business email; Hailink Labs in China may access support messages. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. Correspondence is retained for no longer than 12 months after issue closure unless an ongoing issue or legal obligation requires longer. Parents may request access, correction or deletion by email; we may verify the relevant email address.
This website and policy changes
This website has no analytics, tracking scripts, accounts or contact forms. GitHub Pages processes technical requests such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
