Local learning data
MinuteSprout is designed for children ages 6–8 and parents. It does not request an app account, real name, email, birthday or school. Automatically named profiles, activity definitions, measurements, predictions, plans and settings are stored locally. Parent-created activity text should not contain personal information. Hailink Labs has no app database server.
Optional private iCloud sync
Sync is off by default. A parent can enable it to upload profiles, activities, experiments and plans to the private CloudKit database in their Apple iCloud account. It is not a public or cross-account family database. Apple provides this storage; Hailink Labs does not receive these learning records. The app remembers the account association locally to avoid mixing accounts. Device boot identifiers and raw clock anchors are excluded from sync and exported backups.
Permissions and Apple purchases
There are no ads, tracking, third-party analytics or third-party crash reporting SDKs. The app does not request camera, microphone, photos, location or contacts access. Audio playback does not record or listen. Apple handles the one-time purchase and Family Sharing through StoreKit; verified transactions determine access. We do not receive payment card details or operate a receipt server. Apple may process transactions and diagnostics under its policies and your settings.
Exports, recovery and deletion
Parents control exports and imports. JSON and CSV files contain learning data, not purchase credentials. Exported files are not password-encrypted by the app; protect or delete your copies in the chosen destination. Deleting a profile removes its experiments and plans. Damaged local records and conflicting sync versions may be retained for recovery. Removing the app removes its local data; exports and Apple backups need separate management. Turning sync off does not delete cloud data. Use Delete cloud data in Parent Area to remove the private cloud zone; other devices with sync enabled may upload their data again, so disable sync there first.
Parent support and this website
Purchases, restore, external links, sync and data management are behind a parental gate. If a parent emails support, we receive the email address, message and attachments only to provide support. Do not send children’s personal details. Our company mailbox uses Tencent business email; Hailink Labs in China may access support correspondence. Messages are retained no longer than 12 months after the issue closes unless an ongoing issue or legal obligation requires longer. Parents can request access, correction or deletion by email; we may verify the relevant email address.
Website delivery and changes
This website has no analytics, tracking scripts, accounts or contact forms. GitHub Pages processes technical requests such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Material policy changes will be explained here with an updated effective date.
