Effective October 3, 2026. AffixHop is developed by Hailink Labs, the brand of Shenzhen Hailink Technology Co., Ltd.
Children and local learning records
AffixHop is designed for children ages 6–8 with parent or guardian involvement. It asks for no app account, child name, birthday, school, email, photo or recording. Preset avatar IDs, random profile/session/attempt identifiers, task choices, predictions, feedback and hint history, completion records, timestamps and settings are stored locally. Hailink Labs does not operate a learning-data server or automatically receive these records.
Optional private iCloud
Private CloudKit sync is off by default and controlled in For Parents. It can transfer profiles, committed learning records, content versions and deletion markers to the parent’s private iCloud database. A random device identifier supports merging; account-derived scope identifiers and change tokens are local control information. Narration, purchase credentials, parent-gate sessions, preferences and active control checkpoints are excluded from app sync. Account changes pause the prior scope. This is not public sharing or cross-account family sync. Apple handles iCloud under its policies; Hailink Labs has no server receiving these private records.
Apple purchases
Apple StoreKit handles the zero-price non-consumable trial, one-time Unlock Forever, verified transactions and Restore Purchases. The trial lasts 168 hours from the original verified transaction and does not renew or automatically charge. Verified entitlement summaries are held in the device Keychain and excluded from learning backups and sync. Hailink Labs receives no payment-card details and operates no receipt server. Apple handles commerce accounts, transactions and diagnostics under its policies and settings.
Parent-controlled backups and deletion
JSON backups contain learning records and allowed settings, without purchases, cloud authorization or parent-gate sessions. These readable files are not encrypted by AffixHop. Parents choose a destination and protect copies; file providers and recipients use their own practices. Import validates and previews data before merging. Parents can delete learning profiles and history; deletion markers prevent older records from returning through sync. Turning sync off does not erase previous cloud copies. Previously exported files, system backups and other-device copies require separate management. Purchase access can still be restored through Apple.
Bundled audio and parent controls
Narration is created offline and bundled; no voice model or generation service runs in the app. AffixHop does not request microphone, camera, photos, contacts, location or notification access. File size, integrity and metadata checks support safe backup handling, not advertising or fingerprinting. Purchases, restoration, files, sync, deletion and external links require the parent area. This control is not a legal identity or parental-consent verification service.
No third-party advertising or analytics
AffixHop has no ads, analytics, tracking, third-party crash reporting, social features, online AI or developer-operated backend. On-device learning records, optional Apple private storage and files voluntarily shared by a parent are different data paths. Support email never automatically attaches a database or receipt.
Parent support correspondence
If a parent emails support, we receive the email address, message and attachments to answer and resolve the issue. Do not send children’s identities, recordings, backups, receipts or payment details. Our company mailbox uses Tencent business email; Hailink Labs in China may access support messages. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. Correspondence is retained for no longer than 12 months after the issue closes unless an ongoing issue or legal obligation requires longer. Parents can request access, correction or deletion by email; we may verify the relevant email address.
