Effective October 5, 2026. CartTinker is developed by Hailink Labs, the brand of Shenzhen Hailink Technology Co., Ltd..
Local learning records
Profiles use a fixed avatar and random identifier. The app saves activity choices, checks, hints, reported help, timestamps and results on your device. It does not ask for a child’s name, birthday, email, photograph or school. Hailink Labs does not automatically receive learning records.
Optional private iCloud
Sync is off by default. A grown-up can enable it in the parent area. Anonymous profiles, learning records and deletion markers then use the current Apple account’s private CartTinker CloudKit database. Static activities, narration and purchase credentials are excluded. Account changes pause sync and require confirmation. Turning sync off preserves local data and existing private cloud records.
Apple purchases
Apple StoreKit supplies product information and handles the optional seven-day trial, one-time Lifetime purchase and restore. The app checks verified transactions and keeps access information and time anchors separately in device-only Keychain storage. Hailink Labs does not receive payment card details or operate a receipt server. Learning backups and profile changes do not grant or reset purchase access.
Backups, sharing and deletion
A grown-up can export a readable JSON learning backup and choose its destination using Apple’s Files or Share Sheet. It contains anonymous learning records and deletion markers, not purchase credentials or cloud account bindings. Keep external copies private. Restore validates and previews the file before merging; conflicts are preserved separately. A confirmed profile or learning-data deletion propagates through enabled sync when devices connect. The app cannot remove backups saved or shared elsewhere. Learning deletion does not erase Apple purchase or trial history.
Sound, permissions and tracking
Narration is prerecorded and bundled for offline playback. The app has no microphone recording, online voice service, ads, analytics SDK, tracking, social feature or child account. It requests no camera, microphone, location or contacts permission. Optional Apple services can communicate with Apple; offline play does not require iCloud.
Support email
If a grown-up emails us, we use the information they choose to send to handle the support request under our company support-email policy. Avoid sending child identities, photographs, receipts or complete backups. Apple handles its services under its own privacy policy and your account settings.
Contact
Include the app version, device model, iOS version and a brief description. Do not send passwords, payment credentials or personal information about a child.
